Growing up in Northern Wisconsin
I grew up moving between small Wisconsin communities — Park Falls, Prentice, and Phillips — and graduated from Phillips High School.

Small towns. Long winters. Plenty of time to figure things out.

About
Business has become more than my work. It's genuinely one of my favorite things to study.
I enjoy understanding how a company works, finding where opportunities are being lost, simplifying the process, and building systems around it.
Whether that means rebuilding a website, improving an ad campaign, creating a lead-generation system, developing software, strengthening a sales process, or finding the hole everyone else has been stepping around — I enjoy figuring it out.
My ideal system is simple: you handle the job or service. The system handles as much of everything else as possible.
My story
Before running digital businesses, I washed dishes, moved snow, coated industrial parts, sold cars, handled materials on third shift, sold phones, painted houses, sold advertising, and experimented with more small businesses than most people would probably recommend.
Each one taught me something useful.
Northern Wisconsin
I grew up moving between small Wisconsin communities — Park Falls, Prentice, and Phillips — and graduated from Phillips High School.

Small towns. Long winters. Plenty of time to figure things out.
Approx. age 14–16
In high school I washed dishes at Sunset Bay, and in the winters I moved snow for several large commercial properties, including facilities connected with Phillips Plastics.

Still a teenager, I learned to run equipment like a front loader. My working life started with physical work, not entrepreneurship.
My first business education wasn't in a classroom. It was showing up when it was dark, cold, and something needed to get done.
Age 16+
Around 16 I started at Phillips Plating, helping coat and process manufactured components like automotive door handles.

It was my first exposure to industrial processes, repeatable systems, and production.
Even then I knew I wanted to build something of my own. I just didn't know what yet.
2019
I realized one thing I could do was talk to people. Around June 2019 I joined Kocourek Kia as a salesperson, staying until about December.
My brother was already in automotive sales. Car sales was a way to leave Phillips, get away from some negative influences, and test myself somewhere new.
It was my first real education in professional sales, customer psychology, negotiation, follow-up, and getting paid on performance.
Late 2019 / early 2020
I was offered a spot and a signing bonus at Toyota of Wausau. Money was tight, so I took it.

It wasn't a grand career strategy. It was survival.
Cash flow matters.
2020
When COVID shut dealerships down, the bills kept coming. A stimulus check wasn’t going to solve much, so at 19 I started experimenting.
2020
I started selling flower pots online through a small venture called Blissful Thoughts.
The business is intentionally in the past, but it was one of the first times I realized you don't have to wait for someone to hire you before you can create income.
2020 era
One of my closest high-school friends worked at Marathon Cheese. During COVID I took a third-shift material-handler job and worked alongside him.

I'd often told him he was capable of more, even though he doubted it. After two or three months, another opportunity showed up.
Early career
I returned to the Kocourek group, working around Hyundai, Volkswagen, and Audi — work I genuinely enjoyed.

My friend eventually left Marathon Cheese for sales too. He did well on his own and later moved into several B2B roles.
Sometimes people just need to see somebody close to them try first.
Cellcom era
Dealership life was eating nearly all of my time. I joined Cellcom in Weston, Wisconsin — hourly plus commission.

I actually earned less money. But I bought back time, and room to figure out who I was and what I wanted to build.
Learning years
With a predictable schedule I started educating myself aggressively — first self-development, sales, and communication, then everything around them.
For the first time, I wasn't just trying to work harder. I was trying to understand why things worked.
Alongside Cellcom
While at Cellcom I started a painting company, OCD Painting, and later experimented with Peachy Keen Window Cleaning.

For stretches I worked 70–80 hours a week between the job and the business. Financially it worked. Personally, it was hard to sustain.
Health & direction
I live with Crohn's disease. It helped reshape the kind of future I wanted to build.

Physical service work could pay the bills, but it’s hard to do consistently when your health doesn’t cooperate. So I started thinking seriously about leverage — businesses where the value comes from thinking, strategy, creativity, technology, systems, and communication.
I wanted to build something where my mind could create more value than my body had to.
2022
In 2022 I started what would eventually become Tech Turtle Websites & Marketing. At first it was more of an experiment than a polished agency.
I was still working other jobs — building websites, learning digital marketing, testing ideas, and figuring out what Tech Turtle should become.
2022–2024
I took a B2B sales role with Midwest Communications and spent as much time as I could around the digital marketing side of the business.

Meanwhile Tech Turtle developed slowly. There were clients, projects, and plenty of experiments — but it wasn’t yet the company I believed it could be.
Those years connected my sales background to the digital world.
Starting the company was easy. Figuring out how to make it genuinely valuable took longer.
Subaru
I went back to automotive sales briefly at Subaru, partly to sharpen the skills that started my career — while seriously considering a totally different direction.

The turning point
I applied to enter the electrical trades and was denied. Instead of another detour, it made the decision clear: stop bouncing between careers and go all in on building my own.

2025
I started Tech Turtle in 2022 and built it alongside other work for years. In 2025 I left Subaru and committed to the company full time.
That decision was the real inflection point. Tech Turtle grew significantly from there and has kept becoming a larger, more capable operation ever since.
2022 was when Tech Turtle started. 2025 was when I bet on it full time.
Sometimes a closed door makes the remaining decision much simpler.
2025 — The inflection point
After starting Tech Turtle in 2022 and developing it alongside other work for several years, I left Subaru in 2025 and committed to the company full time.
That decision became the real inflection point. Tech Turtle moved from a side venture to a serious operating business — and it has kept growing into a larger, more capable operation ever since.
The focus got clearer, too: stop selling websites as isolated products and build connected systems that help businesses generate measurable growth.
2022 was when Tech Turtle started.2025 was when I bet on it full time.

“My wife an i initially created our own webpage for our business T&A Contracting and over the years we realized it was missing something. Ironically I met Mr.Logan while bidding a job and he introduced himself and explained the kind of work he does and what he could offer. Before the businesses
Long before Tech Turtle, the same habits showed up on the sales floor.
“I have bought 5 or more of my cars over the years including my current car from Kocourek. Each one with a different salesperson. - but not anymore - only 1 for me. … WOW- Logan you stand out in the crowd and are/will continue to be without doubt - extremely successful and a valuable Team Member/Leader to anyone or company you choose to be associated with.”
“(Weston location) Logen was a rockstar today! His customer service was OUTSTANDING! He not only answered all of our questions he took the time to show us different features and settings. He was honest and friendly. Highly recommend!”
What I do
Designing high-converting websites that communicate clearly, rank effectively, and make it easy for customers to take action.
Creating systems that generate demand.
Building businesses for traditional and emerging search environments.
Looking at where leads, information, customers, or money are falling through the cracks — and designing simpler workflows around them.
Conceptualizing, building, and implementing practical software and automations that remove repetitive work or make complicated processes easier to manage.
Connecting marketing, sales, technology, analytics, and operations into one understandable growth system.
How I think
I like looking at businesses as systems.
At every transition, something can leak. My favorite part of business is finding those leaks and simplifying the system until it's easier to understand, easier to operate, and easier to scale.
Measure it. Improve it. Automate what makes sense. Keep the human parts human.
People
I've learned something from almost every job, customer, coworker, friend, and business I've been around.
A few people have had an especially meaningful impact on the way I think, work, or live.

Close friends
I'd vouch for any one of them. More important than what they do for work, they're genuinely good people.
Positively Impact Everyone.
I spent more of my early life angry than I'm proud of.
Eventually I realized that carrying that around wasn't building anything.
Today I try to follow a much simpler personal rule: Positively Impact Everyone.
That doesn't mean agreeing with everyone. It means trying to leave customers, employees, friends, strangers, businesses, and communities a little better than I found them.
Life outside business
Most mornings begin pretty simply.
Birds outside. Coffee. Analytics open somewhere they probably shouldn't be that early.
Business is genuinely one of my hobbies. I enjoy studying how companies work, understanding markets, reading, experimenting with systems, developing ideas, and helping other people work through business problems.
Outside work, the people closest to me matter much more than any analytics dashboard.
Home base
Wausau, Wisconsin
Work increasingly reaches outside Wisconsin. I travel periodically to meet customers and understand local markets firsthand.
